Digital
sovereignty

Sovereign software testing. Built in the EU.

webmate is the integrated testing platform for manual testing, automation and structured audits, keeping your code, data and release cycle fully under European jurisdiction. No US hyperscalers, no transatlantic data transfers, no compromises.

The new reality

Online services are critical infrastructure now.

Customers and prospects expect flawless digital experiences. Transactions must complete in seconds, incidents must be reported under pressure, and regulators increasingly ask where exactly your data lives.

When your test platform depends on another continent's clouds, your release pipeline depends on another continent's legal weather.

We stopped waiting for geopolitics to become a procurement problem. webmate runs entirely on European infrastructure. By design, not by exception.

What sovereignty actually means here

Four things we don't negotiate away.

"Sovereign" is a loaded word. On webmate it means exactly four concrete commitments you can audit against our infrastructure, contracts and release notes.

EU hosted, end to end

Real devices, VMs, test artifacts and logs live in ISO 27001 certified data centres in the EU. No transatlantic hops.

GDPR native by design

Data residency, right to erasure and DPA contracts aren't bolted on. They're the default.

Open standards compatible

Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress. Your test code stays portable and CI/CD ready. No proprietary runners, no vendor trap doors.

EU jurisdiction, EU ownership

Testfabrik Consulting + Solutions AG is privately held in Saarbrücken, Germany. Single point of legal contact. No parent company on another continent.

Where your testing actually runs

A full stack, without a transatlantic hop.

Most "EU cloud" stories break at the first API call. Here's webmate's stack compared to the typical US anchored test platform, layer by layer.

Who this is for

Built for teams where jurisdiction matters.

If an auditor, regulator or DPO has ever slowed a release, you already know why sovereign tooling isn't a nice to have.

Regulated finance

Banks & insurance

DORA, BaFin, MaRisk. Release cycles are already under regulator scrutiny. Your test data shouldn't add another jurisdiction to the audit.

OZG, BSI C5, and the Bundes-Cloud strategy all point the same way: infrastructure inside European borders. Built-in AuditLab workflows help structure accessibility, security and internal compliance evidence in the same EU stack.

KRITIS and NIS2 don't just govern production. They cover the toolchain that builds production. Your test platform is in scope too.

FAQ

Questions we get asked often.

Is there a free trial or can I try webmate before committing?

Yes. We offer a guided pilot that gives your team full platform access. A webmate engineer can help you run your first real tests in the first session and set up the workflows that match your stack.

Can I use my existing Selenium, Playwright or Cypress test scripts?

Yes. webmate supports Selenium, Appium, Playwright and Cypress. Point your existing tests at the webmate endpoint and they run on real devices and browsers right away. An SDK with code samples is available on GitHub to speed up the connection.

What is AuditLab?

AuditLab is the template-based audit workbench built directly into webmate. Teams can model catalogues such as accessibility, GDPR, security, industry-specific standards and internal quality audits, then capture requirements, findings, evidence and reports in one project context.

Where is my data stored and who can access it?

All test artifacts, screenshots, videos and logs are stored in ISO 27001 certified data centres inside the EU. Testfabrik Consulting + Solutions AG is privately held in Saarbrücken, Germany, under full EU jurisdiction. No data is processed outside the EU and no US Cloud Act exposure applies.

What support do I get and how quickly do you respond?

We target a response within one working day, usually faster. Enterprise accounts can be assigned a dedicated account manager. Onboarding, migration planning and technical deep dives are all included.
